Alfonso Iovieno, MD, is as a cornea research post-doctoral fellow in Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami - Miller School of Medicine. He graduated from University Campus Bio-medico of Rome, Italy, where he also completed his residency. His area of cornea research include ocular infections and in particular Acanthamoeba keratitis, ocular cicatricial pemphigoid and ocular surface squamous neoplasia.
