About the Presenter:
John T. LiVecchi:
John T. LiVecchi, MD, FACS is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship trained Oculoplastic surgeon, specializing in Eyelid and Facial Cosmetic Surgery including upper and lower eyelid surgery, browlifts, Contour Threads™ “No –Stitch” facelifts, Botox® Cosmetic, Restylane®, and Radiesse®.

Dr. LiVecchi received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the City University of New York at Richmond and earned his Medical Doctorate from the University of Rome in 1977. He served his internship at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York and completed a residency in ophthalmology at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center and was chief resident there from 1981 to 1982. From 1982 to 1983 he was a Fellow in Oculoplastic Surgery at the Kresge Eye Institute of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. LiVecchi is Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Drexel University College of Medicine in Pennsylvania. He regularly makes scientific presentations and exhibits of his work at scholarly meetings and has published numerous articles. He is a contributing author to several current texts on ophthalmology. Dr. LiVecchi travels worldwide as a course director teaching other eye doctors state-of-the-art surgery. He currently is the Medical Director of three medical companies in the USA and sits on several boards as an officer and a director.

Dr. LiVecchi was born and raised in Staten Island, New York. He practiced ophthalmology in Pennsylvania for 20 years and was in the US Army Reserve. Dr. LiVecchi’s hobbies include tennis, wine making, travel, theater, fine dining, and sporting events.

Lynn D. Anderson, PhD:
Lynn Anderson, PhD, is the Chief Executive Officer of the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology® (JCAHPO®). She is responsible for the management of ophthalmic medical personnel certifications that include three core certifications and four subspecialty certifications that are multiple-choice and performance-based skill assessments. JCAHPO is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). Dr. Anderson also oversees JCAHPO’s continuing education services that include classroom, workshop, and distance learning. Under her leadership, JCAHPO has developed and provided eLearning through a dedicated Web Site, MYJCAHPOCE.org, and developed an innovative computer-based simulation training for ophthalmic allied health personnel, Learning Systems®, on six core performance tasks and contact lenses.

She heads a team of 28 professionals in the following JCAHPO departments: certification, education, accreditation, Education and Research Foundation, communications, accounting, and operations. In addition, she oversees a subsidiary organization that provides management services for the Association of Technical Personnel in Ophthalmology (ATPO®), and other organizations. With ten years at JCAHPO and more than twenty-five years in nonprofit and association management, she has extensive experience in volunteer management, certification, education and training, accreditation, organizational development, and finance.

Dr. Anderson has a PhD in Education from the University of Minnesota, a Masters Degree in Business Marketing Education, and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Accounting. She has presented and authored published articles, research, and chapters for books on certification, performance-based skill assessment, organizational development and staffing, and patient safety. She also served as a commissioner on NCCA.
