Peter A. Simmons is a Director of Clinical Development within the Research and Development organization at Allergan, specializing in development of treatments for dry eye disease. Dr. Simmons has been at Allergan since 2000. Prior to that, he was a Professor at the Southern California College Optometry (Fullerton, California), and has also been a Visiting Professor at the Glasgow Caledonian University (Glasgow, Scotland, U.K.). Dr. Simmons received his Ph.D. in Physiology from Yale University (New Haven, Connecticut) in 1980, and completed post-doctoral training at Washington University (St. Louis, Missouri).
