About the Presenter:
Dr Kent did his medical degree and training as an ophthalmologist in Auckland, New Zealand. He completed a one year fellowship in glaucoma at Moorfields Eye Hospital London in 1994, followed by a 19 month fellowship in excimer laser surgery, intraocular lens research and ocular pathology at the Storm Eye Institute, Charleston, South Carolina with Dr David Apple and Dr Kerry Solomon. He established Fendalton Eye Clinic, Christchurch in 1996, performed the first PRK and LASIK surgery in the South Island of New Zealand in 1997 and has done more LASIK surgery than any other New Zealand ophthalmologist.
