About the Presenter:
Dr. Stanley Chan is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Alberta and a full-time Ophthalmologist based at the Regional Eye Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. His areas of specialty are Cornea and External Disease, Cataract and Anterior Segment surgery, and Uveitis. He completed a Combined Fellowship in these areas at the University of Montreal after obtaining his certification in Ophthalmology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2003. Dr. Chan’s research primarily involves optimizing cataract surgery outcomes and uveitis risk stratification. He maintains an interest in International Ophthalmology and has worked in Tibet and Nepal.
