Born in Sevilla, Spain; Margarita Cabanás (33) is Medical Doctor from the Medicine School of Universidad de Sevilla, and at the present time works as Ophtalmologist Surgeon at Clínica Baviera,Instituto Oftalmológico Europeo, in Sevilla and Hospital Universitario Vírgen del Rocío.
Her working experience also includes Hospital Universitario Virgen Macarena and CIMO.

After finishing her Ophtalmology studies at Sevilla´s University and the Surgery Department of the Hospital Universitario Virgen Macarena de Sevilla in 2004, Margarita Cabanás, has also been actively involved in international social programs of cooperation. Among others, she has been responsible for the project of Ophtalmology at the NGO Africa Arcoiris at Ivory Coast since 2007.

Recently Dr. Cabanás won the First award as Best Clinical Case, at the Festival of Challenging Cases in Corneal Refractive Surgery, ARI 2009.
She has also given courses and seminars at Universities and specialized institutes in Spain.
